The council is well established and visible as a fraternal organization in the Timmins area, generously donating to worthy causes and in the area where funds are raised.

The Timmins Chapter 1052 has regular membership meetings during the months of September through May. We have a lot to offer new members.
First and foremost, the club offers the chance to help those in need. One also has many opportunities for social events in which to meet new people.
We are always looking for new members.
PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE :
The Timmins Chapter of the A.C.T. / UCT is involved in many community projects.
A.C.T. Hockey Clinic:
The local Chapter supports this worthwhile cause by donating annually towards the cost of equipment and ice time. For the 1999-2000 season, a total of 270 youngsters and 27 volunteers were registered in this hockey clinic.
Little Rock Curling:
We support this cause by donating towards the cost of curling equipment. During the 1999-2000 season, a total of 90 young curlers between the ages of 6 and 16 were registered.
Timmins and District Hospital:
The Chapter made a contribution of $ 10,000.00 towards the building fund.
Tim Hortons Childrens Foundation:
The Chapter makes an annual contribution towards this cause.
Lupus Foundation:
The Chapter contributes funds annually towards this worthwhile cause.
Gillies Lake Walking Trail:
The Chapter donated towards the cost of lighting on the trail.
Timmins Special Olympics:
The Chapter donated towards the cost of of the closing Banquet and presentations.
Other Causes:
United Way.
Spinal Bifida.
Heart & Stroke.
